Abortion costs vary by location, clinic, and procedure type (such as medical versus surgical).
Typically, in Alabama, a surgical abortion might cost between $500-$700. Cost will also be determined based on how far along the pregnancy is. This measurement, called gestational age, is most accurately determined by ultrasound, but can also be estimated based on the date of your last menstrual period.
By law in the state of Alabama, the abortion provider is required to detect a viable pregnancy with a fetal heartbeat. This is done by ultrasound as well.
Our center can confirm pregnancy and offer an ultrasound at no cost to you, which would allow you to determine exact gestational age.
